In this age of the media and communication skills, command over language is always and asset. A person who wants to communicate is sometimes unable to explain his point of view because he has poor linguistic skills. The same information when packaged in fluent language makes a world of difference. It is known that good language capacity is an important parameter of intelligence in IQ testing . Language is one of the most outstanding developmental achievements of children and it is remarkable how children all over the world learn to understand and use it effectively. Good verbal ability enhances the intellectual functions of memory, problem solving and reasoning. Children make enormous progress in comprehension and production of language during the preschool years but further advances in language skills come only at primary school age.
